Process to submit a claim in Italy

Follow the instructions below to know how to open, manage and resolve a claim.

Before submitting a claim


Please note that the following cases are not subject to any claim:

  • Wear and tear on vehicle parts
  • Vehicles sold in the   "Damaged Vehicles" and "Non-runners" sales.
  • Mechanical claims on vehicles with over 180.000 km or 10 years.
  • To the total refund it will be applied (excluding labour costs) an excess equal to 350 EUR (excl. VAT) for mechanical defects and 350 EUR (excl. VAT) for body work damage.

Resolution of complaints

Once you are in possession of the above-mentioned documentation, the BCA Italia Damage Direction, within 5 working days, will provide the results of the damage test that will lead to one of the following actions:

  1. Complete approval of the proposed estimate
  2. Partial approval of the proposed estimate indicating the acceptable total price (counter-offer).
  3. Sending of the expert for the quantification of the complained damages and the real condition of the vehicle

ATTENTION: it won't be possible to approve any refund if the repairs were performed before the closing of the complaint.
