BCA Claim Conditions


Please note that the following cases cannot be subject to any claims - for more info please refer to our terms and conditions :

  • Cars sold in auction for less than 1 500 euros, excluding fees and VAT
  • Cars with age over 10 years or mileage over 180 000 km
  • Cars sold as damaged, accident cars, non-runners, ELV End-of-life-vehicles or “Sold as it is”
  • In case that car was registered/sold to the final customer/3rd party
  • The cars are not checked on the lift – no claims on hidden parts acceptable
  • Repair costs for optical and technical damages up to € 400
  • Repairs done - Car must remain in original condition from the auction, it cannot be repaired or modified
  • All wear parts subject to maintenance and small components
  • No claims on following parts/items: Wheels/rims/tyres/spare wheels (unless it is proven transport damage), Windshield/glass parts (unless it is proven transport damage), Lights (unless it is proven transport damage)

Local Regulations

We strive to have a unified policy to manage the claims. While our rules are almost aligned in Europe, we still have some local expections. You can find more details below.

BCA Germany

The following cannot be claimed upon :

  • Missing accessories according to item 1.3 of the damage catalogue, e.g. missing spare wheels, cigarette lighter, antenna rods, etc.
  • All signs of use according to damage catalogue.

BCA Denmark
  • Mechanical grading C vehicles can not be claimed.
  • It is unknown whether the vehicles offered have had damage/accident/collision - can not be claimed.
  • Vehicles older than 36 month with more than 80.000 km: Previously repaired and/or undisclosed damage can not be claimed.

BCA The Netherlands
  • Exclusion criterias of claims for cars below 1.500€ is not applied locally.
  • Cars are inspected on the lift and claim can be accepted in regards to hidden parts.

BCA Spain
  • Vehicle documentation: Depending on the average time required for its transfer of ownership, there are 3 types of documentation:
  1. "Doc lista" (ready for transfer): 10-15 calendar days on average, 30 maximum.
  2. Documentation incidence (reservation of ownership, cancellation of the leasing process, or existence of charges): 120 calendar days maximum.
  3. Rest of the vehicles (nothing specified): 35-45 calendar days on average, 60 maximum.

If the maximum deadline is exceeded, the buyer has the right to cancel the purchase.

  • Bonus for transport delay: If the maximum deadline for the local BCA Delivery transport service is exceeded, the buyer will receive €10 euros per day/vehicle. More info about the bonus for delay.
  • Claim on specific wear parts and components subject to maintenance can be accepted (gearbox, clutch, turbo, gaskets)

BCA Portugal
Vehicle sold under conditions below are not subject for a claim
  • We do not accept claims for vehicles belof of 1.500€
  • Itens according the point 1.3 of damage report
  • Damage, non-running and cars Sold as seen are not subject to claim
  • Vehicle with mileage above 200.000km

BCA Italy

If delay for change of ownership of documents is passed and the buyer do not have receive the original car documents under his name. He is entitled for a sale cancellation.

BCA Sweden
  • The vehicles have not been checked for error codes. Therefore error codes that are not known during the inspection – cannot be claimed for. 
  • BCA do not test the four wheel drive (4wd) system of the cars. Therefore – problems with the 4wd system which has not been discovered during BCAs inspection – cannot be claimed for.
  • The undercarriage of the vehicles has not been examined. Damages, that through an undercarriage examine, could have been discovered – can therefore not be claimed for.
  • The inspection is optical and without any dismantling of parts, therefore claims on hidden parts will not be accepted.
